Final damage is arguably the best stat in Dragon Nest and is not really explained in the game.
Final damage is a bonus percentage of damage applied after all other stat calculations and skill damage calculations. The bonus percentage of damage amount depends on how much final damage stat the character has, and what level monster is being fought. The character’s level does not affect the percentage of damage, but it does affect the amount of final damage stat that can be obtained.
This chart shows the amount of final damage stat on the left, and the level of the monster on the top. As can be seen from the chart, different levels require different amounts of final damage stat to achieve 100% bonus damage.
Level 24 requires 500 final damage, level 32 requires 600 final damage, level 40 requires 900 final damage, and level 50 requires 1,300 final damage.
As the character levels up, it is easier to get more final damage. However, achieving 100% bonus damage is hard to do and can be very expensive. For an example of what’s required to get final damage, the following is for a level 50 character aiming to hit 100% bonus final damage against a level 50 monster.
Corrupt Nest gear bonus for 3 pieces = 300
Ladder weapons set bonus =210
Apocalypse ring set bonus = 122
Apocalypse earrings and necklace set bonus = 122
Dejected title = 10
Level 50 Superb Ultimate Enhancement plate = 170
All of that adds up to 934 final damage, but to hit 100% they would need to reach 1,300.
Therefore 3rd line plates would be required which can easily cost 10k gold each. Each superb level 50 plate when crafted has a small chance to get a 3rd line final damage stat which would give 85 final damage. Four 3rd line plates would get the final damage stat up to 1,274 which is as close as they will get unless they get a 5th 3rd line plate.
My personal set up gives me 616 final damage which gives me 19.7% final damage bonus.

Level 45 Quality Ultimate Enhancement place = 106
This set up is easily affordable as you can craft 3 corrupt armour pieces for a good price, ladder weapons can be obtained by completing 10 ladder matches a week for 5~6 weeks (can be obtained faster if you’re better at pvp and get a higher rating), and the level 45 quality plate is generally 100 gold at most.
An example of how final damage applies when using skills. For these calculations I will be using a Sharpshooter with 5k physical damage and 20% final damage bonus, and an Elementalist with 5k magic damage, 25% fire element% and 20% final damage bonus.
The Sharpshooter uses level 11 Charged Shot which has Physical damage: 387% + 4,922.
5,000 physical damage x 387% = 19,350
19,350 + 4,922 = 24,272
24,272 x 20% final damage = 4,854
24,272 + 4,854 = 29,126 damage dealt by Charged Shot
4,854 bonus damage from final damage.
The Elementalist uses level 11 Fireball which has Magic damage: 530% + 14,654.
5,000 magic damage x 530% = 26,500
26,500 + 14,654 = 41,154
41,154 x 25% fire element% = 10,288
41,154 + 10,288 = 51,442
51,422 x 20% final damage = 10,284
51,422 + 10,284 = 61,706 damage dealt by Fireball
