Ok, so this is something that I've been debating for a while: Whether to go Pure magic damage or get Fire% jades next cap. This has become a dilemma because of the fact that it is no longer possible to get both Fire and Ice% (as of yet. There is still no indication about what they intend to do with the lgrade jades so we will see when that comes out how this post gets revised).
So what I decided to do was to calculate out what my damage will be both with a pure magic damage build and a mix build, and then figure out what my damage output will look like for each of my major offensive skills. (This will not be including crit since I would have to calculate out roughly how much that is and then the likely hood of crit'ing frequently as well. Separate post maybe.)
So first off, we're going to start off with the understanding of each weapon's basic damage:
So for the Pure Magic Damage Calculations, I will be using the Int + 3rd line vit blue jades, and the 581+int red jades.
Armor Blue Jades: 10 jades
Weapon Blue Jades: 2 jades
Weapon Red Jades: 2 Jades
For this, I made this easy and used spread sheets. First are the calculations for Pure Magic Damage:
And here are the calculations for a mix of magic and elemental damage:
There is only a subtle difference, but it is clear that elemental sparks are still the way to go. However, this does not take into consideration whether enhancements will change things (although I doubt it, especially considering this is a pure int build, which most aren't going to be since you'll still have to build agi and vit for crit and hp/def).
